Hit Your Sales Goals Using an Old Strategy

Hey Everyone:

It’s finally here! Autumn is finally here, and it’s my favorite time of year. I love the colors, the scents, the smells, and especially the weather. For me, the Fall has always marked a significant time of change. Old things are ending and new things are beginning. I guess it’s because students of all ages are back in school. All the joys and benefits of hard work are harvested. And the Holidays are literally right around the corner.

The Holidays remind me that marketing for the current year is coming to an end, and I now have one final quarter to push toward my sales goals so I can close the year strong. How about you? Do you also feel this way?

About those sales goals…I find one of the best strategies I can use during the final quarter is a good old-fashioned email campaign. What??? Aren’t those outdated??? Do they even work???

The answer is YES! Email campaigns work if done properly and with purpose. A good campaign enhances and cements relationships with current and potential clients, customers, and colleagues. And that’s what marketing is all about – cementing relationships. It’s a solid way to ensure your customer understands that YOU are the expert and YOU are the first person they should call.

So how do you do that? Write some great emails!

Okay…but what’s the point…what’s the purpose…what should an email do exactly?

Here’s what a solid email does:

1. Solves a Specific Problem. Remind your customer you solve a specific problem and tell them what that problem is.

2. Provides Value. Give your customer some information and tips that will help them get what they want.

3. Presents Your Solution. Tell your customer what solution you have that will solve their problem. And make sure they know how to get it.

4. Offers Another Look at Your Website. Offer your customer another look at your website where they can learn more about your products and solutions, or schedule an appointment, or better yet, buy immediately. They’ll get excited when they look with fresh eyes.

Embrace an old-fashioned strategy and take another look at your current email campaign. Does it do those four things above? Could it use some updating? Is it perfect to send out as it is? Whatever you find, do the most important thing: SEND IT OUT.

The final quarter of the year is upon us. There’s one last opportunity to ramp up your marketing and hit those sales goals. Try using an email campaign. Reach out and cement those relationships.

And by all means, enjoy the colors, the scents, the smells, and all that Autumn has to offer.

Here’s to a wonderful season!
